I love my new dog almost as much as I love you two, and it is going to be very hard to leave her. I hope you can sit and stay on command - being rewarded with a treat of course.
Tandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12533221017943374533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4229572832198076570.post-87087864819782066782012-10-08T23:44:33.125-07:002012-10-08T23:44:33.125-07:00Do you still have the recipe? This does include "freezer" jam, but I'm thinking it's making it too complicated!Ali Hugheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13151915355026201047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4229572832198076570.post-50900951758839610192012-10-08T23:42:46.019-07:002012-10-08T23:42:46.019-07:00The strawberry jam you "grew up on" was ...The strawberry jam you "grew up on" was only "freezer jam," which is actually a LOT simpler and less involved than the cooked and canned stuff that it looks like your book is explaining about. I never even wanted to try that. While freezer jam doesn't survive years on the shelf (only months in the freezer), it usually tastes more like fresh strawberries than cooked jam does. But it's also harder to give freezer jam as a gift than canned jam because you have to keep it frozen and can't put it under the tree. Love, Mom
P.S. oh, and I love all the photos and news! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
