Pillow One

Anyone remember my parent's quilt? It was a Christmas present and they keep it on their bed! My original intention was to make some matching pillow cases for them, and then when my mom said she couldn't find any pillow cases in the right color, I really had to do it. So...

First pillowcase! Done in 2.5 hours! Whoot!

And the back...

And who is the luckiest girl this week!? This arrived in the mail yesterday. So full of amazing things!
The pillow is actually a variation of the wonky quilts from pages 15, 17 and 79. :) Written by my favorite blogger. Funny how my two favorite bloggers are both moms. :P Gives my hope that my hobby will not die out when little ones pop up around here.

And some fabric collected from my favorite quilt shop, Quilters Cupboard! I love sales, and they had a whole bunch of new things in their sale basket! That's where the two wrapped pieces came from. The other two are solids I fell in love with. I'm trying to get a few more solids into my collection...

I'm taking my very first class in April! :D At Quilters Cupboard. It is a wonky curved quilt. I need 12 fat quarters. So I have collected 8 so far.

Have a wonderful day!

    1. I'm looking forward to the class! I'm super excited. I'm not super good with curves, and I don't even really understand how they work! :P What kind of classes have you taken?

  2. Hi! I just came over from your favourite blogger! Seems that we have something in common :o) Your pillow looks great, I absolutely love the colours and the organic prints! I guess sewing will get a little slow down when kids pop up but you get thankful "sewing objects" in exchange. It's so much fun sewing for kids!!! Good luck and happy sewing.

    1. I really do look forward to sewing with kids. :) And I know my hubby will let me have some time, but I know I wont have the luxury of several 8 hour quilt days a month. :P Thanks for stopping by! :) Amanda really is a fun blogger! :)
